Luca Benevelli – DAX Trader
My name is Luca Benevelli, I am an AIEF financial educator and a professional trader for about 14 years

I began my personal training journey in 2008, at the age of 25. At the time, online resources were limited, so my studies focused mainly on chart analysis and reading specialized texts in English.
In the following years, I continued with training courses and professional meetings, progressively expanding my skills to cover every study case.
Today, thanks to my performance, I am part of the elite of profitable Day Traders at a European level

Trading signals
Today, my DAX Trading Signals are still in high demand. I therefore decided to open this site not only to show what I do, but above all how I do it. Here, I transparently share my approach and regularly publish the results, which are visible within the channel.

Training hiatus
From 2020 to 2024, I chose to continue only with sending Trading Signals to long-standing clients, while suspending my training activities. It was a conscious decision: I wanted to dedicate more time to my family and, above all, enjoy watching my second child grow up without the pressure and commitments that trading education entails.

Office closure
As the years went by, and with the memory of that experience still vivid, I decided to close my downtown office and move to my home studio. By then, both trading signals and training were being requested and followed almost exclusively online, with timing and methods very different from those of a traditional physical office. In this sense, the pandemic represented the final push to make this choice

Training and signal requests
85 sqm office in the city center
After about 3-4 years of consistent results, friends and acquaintances began asking me to teach them what I had learned. So I decided to take it a step further: I opened an office in the heart of Genoa, Dax Lab Strategy, right in the Stock Exchange building. An 85 sqm space divided into two open spaces, with a room dedicated to training and a proper Trading Room, where theory and practice could be combined in a professional environment. The view over the fountain in Piazza De Ferrari was the highlight.

Profits
By the end of 2012, I had finally become consistently profitable. I chose to focus on a market with a solid statistical advantage: the DAX index. I thus returned to short-term discretionary trading, an approach that perfectly suited both my character and my technical skills. I was not attracted to medium-term investments: my predisposition was for the daily rhythm of the market and the possibility of generating profits day after day.
2012 - June
Results
Break-even and profits
By combining all the acquired knowledge, I began experimenting in the market with both discretionary trading and through automated systems that I programmed personally. It was then that a light bulb went on: after a few months, I realized how misleading my old approach had been. I finally understood why most traders – I would say at least 95% – never manage to achieve consistent profit: they lack a solid, disciplined, and replicable method, founded not just on intuition but on clear and verifiable rules. On hidden edges, which are far removed from standard technical analysis or some indicator sold as a "magic bullet"...
2011-2012
Training
Operational cleanup and specialization
After years of attempts, many mistakes, and quite a lot of burned money, I found myself at a crossroads: quit everything or start again from scratch, completely changing my approach. It was a difficult but decisive choice. I chose to start over, investing in paid courses and seeking a 360-degree training experience by choosing courses from Traders who were completely different from each other:
Discretionary Trading:: Dan Gramza Capital Management
Algorithmic Trading: QTLab
Volumetric Trading: Antonio Lengua
Market Analysis: E. Stucchi
2010-2011
Confusion
Any market
In 2011, I believe I tested every existing indicator, oscillator, or trading system. My chart was so cluttered with tools that the only true protagonist—the price—was pushed into the background. Failing to get results in Forex, I tried moving to indices and subsequently to commodities. I changed my time horizon multiple times—from very short to medium, up to long term—but the result was always the same: continuous losses. I ended up spending as many as 14-16 hours a day in front of monitors without ever finding the right key.
2009-2010
Events
Forex Market
In those years, I began participating in all the trading events organized in Italy, often sponsored by online brokers. From Milan to Bologna, to Naples: I didn’t miss a single one. Every conference hosted renowned traders of the time, who presented their operational strategies on stage. For me, it was a precious opportunity: I listened, observed, and tried to grasp every useful detail to grow.
2008-2009
Beginning
Information gathering
My encounter with trading was completely accidental: it was 2008, and I was 25 years old. A curiosity that started almost as a game soon turned into a passion. I began looking for every possible piece of information, first online and then through the pages of books. I purchased and read over 40 of them, in both Italian and English, which I still keep today as little travel companions of my journey.
